Siena is a stage of one of the most prestigious Grand Prix of classic cars in Italy, the GP Nuvolari (named after Tazio Nuvolari, one of the greatest drivers in the history of car racing), which takes place every year from 18th to 21st September, with departure from Mantua.
The route is 1000 km long and includes many towns in Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany.
If you want to see the parade of 250 classic cars driven by 500 riders from all over the world, the event is scheduled on Saturday 20th September from 12:00 am to 2:30 pm at Piazza del Campo: participants will come in the heart of the town and later they will go to other enchanting medieval hamlets such as Borgo Scopeto, Castelnuovo Berardenga, Monte San Savino and Arezzo.
The last stretch of the Grand Prix includes Rimini and ends in Mantua, a tradition that every year involves lovers of vintage cars and revives the passion of those who love to see speed races and vehicles of inestimable historical value.
